HealthySun Energy Associates (“we”, “us”) is a proprietorship owned by Saleem Haris, with its principal place of business at 2nd Floor, 6/13-B, Mosque Street, Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600043 (GSTIN 33ACFPH4635M2ZJ). This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website, WhatsApp and phone, why we collect it, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, mobile number, area or address, business name and type, and your electricity bill range.
- Documents you send us: photos of electricity bills, roof photos, and the documents needed for subsidy, net-metering and financing applications.
- Payment details: when you pay online, Razorpay processes your card or UPI details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Advertising and analytics data: the advertising click identifier and campaign source in the page address (for example
gclidorutm_source), and cookies set by Google Analytics and Google Ads through Google Tag Manager. These tell us which advertisement or page brought you to us.
Why we use it
- To prepare your solar savings or feasibility report, and to contact you about it by phone or WhatsApp.
- To visit your site, quote, install and maintain your system, and to handle warranty claims.
- To apply for subsidies, net metering and approvals on your behalf, with your consent.
- To enrol you in HealthySun Academy courses and deliver them.
- To take payments, issue GST invoices and meet our legal and tax obligations.
- To measure which advertisements work, so we spend less reaching the right people.
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for anything unrelated to these purposes.
Who we share it with
We share only what each party needs:
- Government bodies and the electricity distribution company: for subsidy applications under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, net-metering and connection approvals.
- Our subsidy processing partner: who files the subsidy application for your project.
- Finance partners: only if you ask us to connect you with a lender.
- Service providers: Razorpay (payments), Google (Workspace email, Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager) and our website host, who process data on our behalf.
- Authorities: where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Customers: for as long as your system’s warranties run (up to 25 years), and as long as tax law requires us to keep invoices.
- Enquiries that don’t become customers: 24 months from your last contact, then deleted.
- Academy students: for the duration of the course, plus as long as tax law requires for invoices.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how it’s used;
- ask us to correct or complete it;
- ask us to erase it, where we no longer need it for a legal purpose;
- withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect what we did before you withdrew;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf;
- complain to our grievance officer, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies from Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure visits and advertising results. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
Security
We protect your data with access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we’ll inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Children
Our services are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
